Terrariums

DIY
ter·rar·i·um
təˈrerēəm/
noun
plural noun: terrariums
A sealed transparent globe or similar container in which plants are grown.

Last Friday I submerged my hands into a monstrous sized cacti soil bag to create these terrariums. The smell of soil comes to my nose as I try to remember the steps I took to make them.

Strolling through the tiny section depicted for succulents and cacti at The Home Depot I fell in love.

It was love at first sight when I saw these cacti, most beautiful cacti I had seen in a long time.  The intense green and the vibrant yellow and red inspired me to create these terrariums.

On East 4th Street & Euclid Ave. you will find a marvelous store, the Cleveland Clothing Company. I went in for the first time to look around and found modern pieces that inspire Cleveland-ers to feel proud of their city.
I was mainly  in search of eclectic postcards that really portrayed Cleveland to mail to by favorite friends that live out of state. It was hard to choose from the various designs but I finally decided on four, that reminded me of each of my friends personality.

These postcards are headed to four of my absolute favorite mermaids. One is being mailed to sunny Florida, one to mountainous Utah, one to free Colorado and one to hipster Oklahoma.
